  • Fred Walser, Sultan Police Dept. Report (9:09 min., 1.6 mb) - Met with Youth Council, skateboard park is moving along; series of breakins in last two weeks (perps sent to Denny Center, one of which had previously brought a gun onto school property, only to be released two days later and back on the street again; Sultan police training continues with several officers attending Homeland Security classes, other; Highway 2 Safety Coalition has changed name to U. S. 2 Traffic Safety Colaition, and needs some participation from the City/council; response to Kristina's comment about youths hanging outside of library, soliciting free cigarettes.
  • Connie Dunn, Public Works (8:13 min., 1.5 mb) - Re Tony Beedle retirement after 22 years; status of 5th Street light, garbage hauled totals (2 million tons); has done flow testing and other items.
  • Donna Murphy, Grants, Ec. Dev., etc. (5:30 min., 1.0 mb) - Status and new info on 10/22 city staff facilities tour of parks, WWTP, water plant, etc.; announced Stillaguamish enhancement force needs volunteers to plant trees that same day; Grant application for Rice Road/U.S. 2 improvements has been submitted; reminded council of 10/27, 7:00 PM Visioning Workshop and 10/25 VIC dedication at 1:30.
