BETHANY TERRACE

Bethany Terrace is located west of Sultan Basin Road, south of the existing brown house and southeast of the baptist church. It is a three-phase project which, when completed, is scheduled for the following improvements:

PHASE I
Addition of, but not limited to:
4 duplexes
Future church addition

PHASE 2
Addition of, but not limited to:
Approximately 73 townhouses
PHASE 3
Addition of, but not limited to:
- Senior Housing (by others)
- Senior Citizen Housing (5 or 6 times larger than the existing church facility)
- Long-term Care Facility (significantly larger than the existing church)

Is there anything wrong with this project? From a long-term perspective -- after road, water and sewer, traffic and other needed infrastructure is in place -- absolutely not. In fact, the addition of a long-term senior care facility would probably be a great asset, both to Sultan and our other neighboring communities.

However, this project was "approved" and constructed without benefit of following proper procedures or permits, or adhering and honoring either city codes and policies, or state-mandated SEPA regulations,
as have been numerous other development projects within the Sultan city limits. Details and other information are given on this webpage.
