A REQUEST (ONE OF MANY) FROM A RESIDENT TO THE CITY FOR AN AUDIO SYSTEM THEY CAN HEAR. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST ONE BY ANY MEANS, AND IT WON'T BE THE LAST. (The community has been complaining for years that they cannot hear what the mayor, clerk and council is saying.) January 14, 2002 TO: City Of Sultan, Clerk FROM: Stan Otto RE: Public address system in City Council Meetings Laura: I am again requesting that proper microphones and a public address system be placed in front of all the city councilmembers, the mayor and the city attorney on the council table. Again, we are having a hard time hearing and the present system is not working. I requested this be corrected approximately two months ago. I have ear damage that occurred while I was logging back in the 1960's to 1970's prior to ear protection being required by State agencies. This information can be provided to you as it is currently in my Medical History Chart at Group Health Hospital. If you require a copy, please let me know.
