Subject: Legal Notice

Dear Mayor Rowe, et al:

I am respectfully requesting that until such time as the city is able to establish and regularly update legal notices and other items of interest to residents on on their website, that a copy of same be sent to me in order that I may post them on mine.

As you're all aware, many Sultan residents have experienced frustration and anger at the way in which legal notice is given. The most recent example of this frustration was the appropriate venting by Willow Run residents during last night's council meeting, wherein notice given for the Broughton 4-lot Short Plat south of their community did not comply with code. What is more damning still is the fact that residents and taxpayers should feel like second-class citizens by having to beg for this public and legal notification, when in fact the city should go out of their way to ensure that ALL ITEMS OF INTEREST are clearly and regularly communicated to its citizenry in an effective and timely manner. I believe you'll agree this has not been the case in the past.

I am also respectfully requesting that this hearing be rescheduled at a more appropriate time in order that the Willow Run residents may attend. There is simply no justification for holding this hearing at 2 p.m., given the gargantuan sensitivities of the physical and critical environment in which this proposed project is located, as well as the justifable emotional sensitivities already experienced by many of the Willow Run residents.

I appreciate your consideration. I am requesting a confirmation of your receipt of this email, and an appropriate and prompt response.

Thank you for your consideration, Loretta Storm
