New
ProSultan signs advertising Prop. #1.
Vote
YES for a change in Sultan's government:
|
The
readerboard sign at the Sultan Bakery advertises....well, we're not quite
sure what it's saying. The first time this reader board was poltically
active since the 2002 elections, it read: "VOTE NO AGAINST BURACRACY"
(or some such word. It was misspelled). It was almost immediately revised
to read: 'VOTE NO." Well, that covers a LOT of territory folks.
Does that mean vote no against the school levy and all other issues on the
May 20th ballot? We'll let you decide. No, really. YOU DECIDE! (But
you have to VOTE!) |
|
Is
a storm brewing?
(Defnitely no pun intended!)
Words
at the bottom of these sign promise: responsibility, accountability, professionalism,
fairness, integrity, etc.

|
Looks
sorta negative and all alone
standing
out there by itself, don't it?

Wendal
Smith, owner of the Sultan Bakery, finally made up his mind about 10
days after he posted this message for voters, changing it to read: 'VOTE
NO NEW TAXES" (which is a bit of a question mark because the change
of government issue, Prop. #1, involves no new, or increased, taxes.
Oh, well, some of us are easily confused....

OPEN
MINDS: A SIGN THAT THERE ARE STILL OPEN MINDS.... and that intelligent
life really DOES exist in Sultan!

A couple of dead soliders...
|
PARENTS! Please speak to your children: A knife-sharp
wooden stake SOLIDLY placed into the earth -- especially one that
cannot be seen, as this one is, and a running child or children playing...A
DANGEROUS recipe for disaster. If nothing else, folks, please see that
these sharp broken-off wooden stakes are PULLED out of the ground whenever
you see them!
