League of Women Voters May 5, 2003 DEBATE (photos and a full transcription)

Afraid to defend their positions, the loudest voices from the "Anti-Sultan" camp were no-shows, same as they were during the 2001 Grange Candidate forum. (Hey, and I thought these guys were tough, confrontational mano-e-mano, "Let's-settle-this-behind-the-barn" types.)

YES? NO? HELL NO? MAYBE??? (When Sultan became a trash heap)...THE SIGNS OF OUR TIMES

AND AFTER THE ELECTION, THERE WERE STILL SIGNS OF DISCONTENT (from the poor winners, no less!)

GOOD "SPORTSMAN'S"-LIKE CONDUCT
(i.e., showing your "class")

Unfortunately, it seems to be all "low" class, not what I would call a good example for Sultan's children. Inspired by Mssrs. Boucher's and Smith's actions, I have decided to henceforth run a Minroe Monitor ad on our front page, free of charge.
THE ELECTION RESULTS (& AN EDITORIAL ON THE MONROE MONITOR), AS INTERPRETED BY DUTCH CUP OWNER, ED "CHEEKO" BOUCHER.
AND HOW ABOUT THIS CLASSY BIT OF COMMUNICATION , COURTESY OF WENDAL SMITH, OWNER OF THE SULTAN BAKERY?
