Shown Above - Candidates participating in the July 18th Primary Election Debate:
L-to-R: Richard Hill, Sarah Davenport-Smith and Brady Boucher (See below link to the Toastmasters' 9/26/07 Candidate debate held at the SHS)
  • Results of 2007 August Primary Election: Sarah Davenport-Smith wins in a landslide (in the two-man Richard Hill-Brady Boucher race, Hill easily wins, will be on ballot with Ms. Davenport-Smith).
  • 7/18/07 Primary Election Debate - AUDIO & PHOTOS (The debate was later broadcast on KSER-Radio)
  • 9/26/07 Candidate Debate - AUDIO & PHOTOS Co-sponsored by the Early Word Toastmasters and the Sky Valley Chamber of Commerce, Sultan High School Commons (flyer from event sponsors)

Note: Although this was a well-organized and well-run debate forum, one unfortunate incident did mar the event: Contrary to the sponsors' own Debate rules and guidelines announced at the beginning of the debate (i.e., that all questions would be asked of all candidates), long-time Sultan resident Burl Champeaux was allowed to ask a specific question, exclusive to Candidate Kerry Ourada. HERE ARE LETTERS TO THE EDITOR & OTHER INFO ABOUT THE ENSUING BROUHAHA

Campaign Contributions: This link (http://www.7-lakes.com/Default.aspx?alias=www.7-lakes.com/vote) was emailed to us (10/17) by webmaster, Mike Wagogner, which details campaign contributions for select county candidates. It contains information on two significant PACs, one for the Master Builders Association and another for Barclays North. If you want to know more, visit Waggoner's home page @ www.7-lakes.com.
