STEVENS PASS MOTEL EXPANSION
SITE PLAN and VARIANCE REQUEST
Notice is hereby given that the Gold Bar Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, July 27, 2004, at 7 PM at City Hall, 107 5th Street, Gold Bar, WA.
The purpose of the hearing is to obtain public testimony regarding the construction of two buildings, each with office space on the first floor and seven motel units on the second floor, and associated onsite improvements, proposed for the property located at 809 Croft Avenue, known now as the Stevens Pass Motel and legally described as Gold Bar 1st Addition, Lots 1-4 Block 16, Lots 6-11 Block 13. The applicant for the proposed development is Robert Carey, 3620 Colby Ave., Everett, WA 98201. Agent for the applicant is Paul Cavassa, Jr., PE, Cavassa & Associates, Inc., PO Box 298, Monroe, WA 98272.
The proposed development includes a Variance request for front yard setbacks on Croft Avenue (SR 2) and Orchard Avenue. GBMC 17.36.050 requires a 25-foot front yard setback. The applicant is requesting a reduction of the setback to 10 feet.
The application was determined to be technically complete for processing and public review on June 29, 2004. Completed application material evaluating the proposed project referred to as the Stevens Pass Motel Expansion is available at City Hall, 107 5th Street, Gold Bar, WA.
It is the right of any person to review and comment on the application, receive notice of and participate in any hearings, request a copy of decisions once made and exercise any rights of appeal. Comments must be in writing and delivered to City Hall by 5 PM, July 27, 2004.
