TO DISCUSS AND TAKE ACTION ON POLICY GOVERNING COUNCIL MEETINGS, CITY ATTORNEY ATTENDANCE AT COUNCIL MEETINGS, CLERK-TREASURER TERMINATION, HIRING OF NEW CLERK-TREASURER, COUNCIL AUDIT COMMITTEE AND OTHER ITEMS

Wednesday, June 28th, 2006 at 7 PM

The City Council of the City of Gold Bar will hold a Special Council Meeting on Wednesday, June 28th, 2006, in the City Hall Council Chambers, starting at 7 PM. If the Council Chambers for some reason are not available the meeting will convene at a venue to be decided upon by a majority of the Council present. The purpose of the meeting is as follows:

1.) Discuss and potentially set policy governing Council meetings including but not limited to the Chair’s role in Council meetings.

2.) Discuss and potentially request the City Attorney attendance at Council meetings.

3.) Discuss and take action regarding employee contracts and policy relating to hiring a new Clerk/Treasurer. This may include reviewing and updating the City’s Personnel Policy.

4.) Further discuss and take potential further action on forming a Special Audit Committee to do an internal audit of the City of Gold Bar.

5.) Revisit the City Water utility tax. This will at minimum cover a discussion but may include potential action.

6.) Discuss and potentially take action on the City Clerk-Treasurer’s exit package and the City Clerk-Treasurer’s notice of termination of contract.

7.) Executive session covering potential litigation and performance of staff.

8.) Discuss and set the agenda for the future Council Meetings.

The public is encouraged to attend the Special Council Meeting but the Council will NOT be setting aside time for public comment.
