ORDINANCES:
Councilman
Amenn's Discordance with the City and Council:
- A
Resolution to limit councilmembers' city staff time/re public information
issues (in Word,
Acrobat). Four
of the Five GB Councilmembers voted for this resolution.
- A
small sample of Councilmember Amenn's requests for information (As
Councilmember Amenn's access to city staff became increasingly limited
(due in large part to this relentless, consistent demands), an ongoing
discussion in the GB council, he resorted to using the Public Information
Act by which to force information from the City.)
- Audio
of excerpt from April 20, 2004 Council Meeting, during which Councilman
Amenn was removed from council chambers (due to his outburst):
Part 1 (4.7 mb), Part
2 (8.5 mb) We apologize for the poor audio quality, which was recorded
digitally from a copy of the City's tape. The overall discussion was
a complaint by City Clerk Hester Ihrhig; preceding Amenn's removal,
there was a fairly eloquent statement by Councilmember Chris Minder
in part two of this audio, beginning at approx. the 5:30-minute mark,
through approx. 9:25-min. mark. At 9:35, Amenn was gaveled down and
removed shortly thereafter.
- A
complaint by Joan Amenn, Robert Amenn's wife, to the Public Disclosure
Commission (PDC) regarding Mayor Hawkins' use of public faciliities
(email) to conduct her campaign. (The complaint was rejected as not
actionable.)
- Recall
Petition filed by Joan Amenn against Hawkins (Councilman Amenn tried
to distance himself from his wife's acts, but in a first-hand conversation
with him during the recall hearing he admitted that he fully supported
her actions. Indeed, he acted that day as the director of events. The
recall petition was dropped by Joan Amenn, who represented herself,
after significant Gold Bar funds had been expended to defend Mayor Hawkins.)
