Josie Fallgatter, Trout Farm Road resident and former Sultan Planning Commissioner, who has filed and won several appeals before the Central Puget Sound Growth Management Hearings Board related to numerous City of Sultan planning decisions, found to be noncompliant with the city's 2004 Comprehensive Plan. [G.R.I.T. Note: We were having problems with our camera that evening, as can be seen by the poor quality photos, as well as a glitch that prevented large portions of the data to be properly read/recorded, as shown by the bottom one-third portion of the photo above. The above photo was taken against the western wall of the Sultan Middle School. I estimated between 180-250 residents in attendace that evening.]
Gold Bar Mayor Crystal Hill spoke briefly re their experience with the Sheriff's Department service and personnel. (Gold Bar has 2,400 people**)

Dyer Road resident: He and his family often visited Sultan to fish and recreate. And those memories led to him building his dream home in Sultan. Mr. Gibson has also been coming to council meetings and other city venues for about a year. He and a long list of residents filed a petition with the City of Sultan early in 2006 to eliminate a City-planned cut-through road which would connect Dyer Road with Skywall Drive Such an action would have devastating results on the quality of life those residents currently enjoy.
The Sheriff's Department presented Mayor Jones of Darrington to speak on behalf of their contracted law enforcement for their 1,400** people. **Source of population figures: April 1, 2006 Washington State's Office of Financial Management |
