Someone you love uses U. S. 2: Voices are needed to assist Dist.
39 legislative representatives' and the U. S. 2 Safety Coalition's efforts in
securing funding for future safety and capacity improvements during next year's
(2007) legislative session. What YOU can do to help:
Attached are two flyers distributed at the Coalition-hosted April 18, 2006
meeting at the Sultan Middle School, attended by well over 200 of your friends,
neighbors and Sky Valley public officials which give important contact
information for key public officials and legislators you should contact to urge
that improvements be made -- and FAST -- to stop the carnage.
There is also contact information for Chief Fred Walser, the Coalition
chairman, to ask how you can help. A good place to start is to attend the
Coalition's next meeting scheduled for Tuesday, May 30th at 7:00 PM, 319 Main Street in Sultan. Additionally, it is important for citizens to attend the
two WSDOT-sponsored Open Houses in Gold Bar and Monroe mid-June on U. S. 2's RDP (Route Development Plan) which will give the details of that plan. The Plan's
purpose is to identify and prioritize the most-needed improvements to this
highway:
