A G.R.I.T. QUICKIE (honest!)  - 10/13/06

The City of Sultan has a New City Administrator:  Her name is Deborah Knight.  Mrs. Knight's credentials and background are impressive. She's currently serving as the Woodinville's Assistant City Administrator.  She has worked for the City of Woodinville for many years, is personable, smart, quick-on-her-feet (she'll need to be!), and guided that city through several years of some tough growing pains.  Currently, her official start date is Nov. 20th.

Sultan's Sewer Connection Fees May Rise: Council will consider raising the per-unit sewer connection fees from its current $7,983, to the "real" or historical value (with interest costs factored in) -- as published in Katy Isaksen's previous rate study -- of $10,010 per D.U., substantially shy of real costs.  City Attorney Graafstra stated last night that he "has no problem increasing rates within the parameters of the previous study's limits."  A new in-depth sewer rate study will take more than a year to complete.

Sultan Basin Road and U. S. 2 has been named "Wold Corner" by the Sultan City Council last night.

Sultan Council passes Resolution supporting policy levy (This resolution can be found within the Council agenda packet linked to our website.)
