Flood Damage Estimates are Requested: The County's
Dept. of Emergency Management made a presentation at last night's Sultan
Council meeting. They are requesting businesses and residents to send
cost estimates of damage incurred during the recent flooding This
documentation will help to secure emergency grant funding relief for Sultan.

VOA - Sultan's new VOA Director Dave Wood
made a plea at last night's council meeting for donations, volunteer help,
coats, blankets, housing, food, pretty much everything, to help people displaced

Bring donated items to the VOA offices located on First Street just
south of High Street.
Free County recycling/dumping for flood-damaged
materials: From now through
March, 2007, flood-damaged materials can be brought to county recycling centers
at no charge. Vouchers to request free drop-offs can be secured from Sultan's
Police Station (360-793-1051, 515 Main Street). Attached is county's
information sheet on this program.

CORRECTION to the Monroe Chamber of Commerce WSDOT
RDP event: Instead of 11/14 at the Rock Church (as given
yesterday), the event will be an OPEN HOUSE at the
Monroe Chamber of Commerce Offices/Visitor Center on Monroe's Main Street
(next to the Monroe Monitor). THE
